Monday 2/16

Tuesday 2/17 – 7th Grade (1*)
·         Team Cheer Practice

Homework:  Read Scope p. 4-9 and complete “Gathering Details” sheet and 2 constructed responses.  Staple together.  Due Thursday

Tuesday 2/17 – 8th Grade (2*, 3*, 4* crunch with team meeting 4*)
·         No Sacred Writing Time
·         Multi-media review presentation
·         Spelling and Vocab Test #4 (root of the week – Greek and Latin root study)
·         4* = IDU kick off!  Review entire project, show examples, get into groups, divide assignments.
Homework:  Read Scope p. 4-9 and complete “Gathering Details” sheet and 2 constructed responses.  Staple together.  Due Friday

Wednesday 2/18 – 7th Grade (6*, 7*, 1*)
·         5 Minute SWT 2/18
·         Multi-media review presentation
·         Root of the Week, p. 87 of comp book
·         Civil Rights Movement Web – p. 112 of comp book
·         6* only = finish sticky note revision and turn in compare/contrast essay
Homework:  Read Scope p. 4-9 and complete “Gathering Details” sheet and 2 constructed responses.  Staple together.  Due Tomorrow

Wednesday 2/18 – 8th Grade (2*, 3*, 4* crunch)
·         No Sacred Writing Time
·         Root of the Week, p. 87 of comp book
·         Plagiarism Notes Review and staple to p. 119 and 120 of comp book
·         “Cite While You Write” Notes, p. 121 of comp book (Lead-in and Ending Citations)

Homework:  Read Scope p. 4-9 and complete “Gathering Details” sheet and 2 constructed responses.  

Thursday 2/19 – 7th Grade (6*, 7*, 1* crunch then team meeting)
·         SWT 2/19
·         Highlight source tags in homework, then turn in.
·         Hand out and review “Poetry Dive” and listen to poem read on Scope website
·         Complete Civil Rights Web, p. 112 of comp book
Homework:  Re-read Scope article p. 4-9 and complete Poetry Dive packet – due Fri 2/27

Thursday 2/19 – 8th Grade (4*)
·         Decades IDU – work on first artifact with bibliography card and typed, paraphrased paragraph.

Homework:  Read Scope p. 4-9 and complete “Gathering Details” sheet and 2 constructed responses.  Staple together.  Due tomorrow

Friday 2/20 – 7th Grade (6*)
·         6th period = Team Meeting for cheer practice and game practice
Homework:  Re-read Scope article p. 4-9 and complete Poetry Dive packet – due Fri 2/27


Friday 2/20 – 8th Grade (2*, 3*, 4* crunch and IDU meeting 4*)
**IDU meeting = collect artifact #1 with typed paragraph and bibliography notecard.  Work on artifact #2.  This time, you must use a lead-in citation or an ending citation with your paragraph.

·         Highlight source tags in 2 constructed responses; staple constructed responses to “Gathering Details” sheet; turn in.
·         Hand out and review “Poetry Dive” and listen to poem read on Scope website.
·         Staple “Research without Plagiarism” Notes to p. 119 of comp book
·         Staple “F.A.Q’s about Plagiarism” to p. 120 of comp book (finish reviewing)
·         “Cite While You Write” notes on lead-in and ending citations, p. 121 of comp book
