·         Love That Dog – The Pasture by Robert Frost and Street Music by Arnold Adoff

Homework:  Sit in your front yard or on your front porch this afternoon/evening.  On page 110 of your comp book, make a list of all the street sounds you hear for about a 20 minute period.  You can combine onomatopoeia with the objects making the sounds.  Due tomorrow (2*, 3*) and Thurs (4* only)

Wednesday 10/15 – 7^th Grade (6*, 7*, 1*)

·         SWT 10/15 (reflection on 1^st quarter and video)

·         Collect remaining t-shirt money

·         Score 1^st Quarter comp books (all work other than sacred writing time entries)

·         Finish “The Tell-Tale Heart” partner questions

Homework:  If you’d like to get a head start for 2^nd quarter, you can read the 2 articles in October Scope magazine – pages 19-21 (assignment will go out tomorrow)

Wednesday 10/15 – 8^th Grade (2*, 3*) and Thursday 10/16 (4*)

·         Love That Dog – Shape Poetry (concrete poetry)

Homework:  Shape Poem  (can be black and white or color) due on Friday

·         Hand out and review Scholastic homework assignment and extra credit opportunity

·         Finish “Tell-Tale Heart” partner questions, p. 104-105 of comp book

Homework:  Extra credit letter and envelope due Tuesday 10/21

Read Scope (October) p. 19-21 and complete “Synthesis” and “Tone” activities – due Friday 10/24
